At 13, my first drum set was literally a football and a pizza pan. Then, at 14, my mother, in her infinite wisdom, bought me a drum set for 100 Deutschmarks, a carton of cigarettes, and a bottle of fine American whiskey. I never looked back...until now, 52 years later.
